Who God has for you is for you!

My husband Joshua and I have been together for 4 years and married for 2 years going on 3 in October! Ok so here’s a backstory to how we met…

I was on Twitter just scrolling and I came across Joshua’s page. I’m not sure how we became friends on twitter. I think we had mutual friends or something, but anyways…I clicked on his profile and was liking everything I was seeing. He was fine, a man of God, and funny! As days went on, I began to notice him more and more on my feed and as he would say, “I started stalking him” (rolls eyes) lol. For those that are not familiar with Twitter, you are able to “like, retweet, or favorite” someone else tweets. Every time Joshua would tweet something, I would like it and retweet it because I was liking everything he was saying. He was basically preaching and talking about God which made me really like him. God knows I love a man of God especially a man who wholeheartedly seeks Him! So Joshua then slid in the DM’s and it was history from there!

Oh, I did forget to mention that Joshua is from Columbus Ohio and I’m from Augusta GA. Columbus, Ohio is really far from Augusta (9 hours to be exact) but that didn’t stop us from pursuing each other. We both knew what we wanted and we made up our minds that regardless of the distance, we were in it for the long haul. Yes it was hard but with God we made it and here we are years later still happily together!

So, I said all of this to say that it doesn’t matter where or how you meet your spouse. God’s ways are different from ours. He does things according to His plan not ours. Who God has for you, is for you! God’s word says, “What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate” -Mark 10:9 ESV.
